Product description
A unique work that tells the rebirth of a legendary car and rewrites a little-known chapter in Alfa Romeo history. At the end of the 1930s, in full technological and industrial expansion, the S10 project was born: an ambitious three-litre V12 developed by exceptional technicians such as Ferdinand Porsche and Gioacchino Colombo, under the direction of Ugo Gobbato.
The book traces the evolution of this extraordinary engine, installed on a modified Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 chassis, with the aim of giving life to a new competition car. Everything is completed by a light alloy body inspired by the Alfetta lines, already projected towards the post-war legend.
A prototype never mass-produced, but today rebuilt with historical rigour and great passion, thanks to a meticulous restoration activity that has brought to light materials, technical solutions and vintage suggestions.
The volume alternates the historical account with the chronicle of the restoration, with authoritative texts and a very rich iconographic apparatus.
