Product description
Standard Edition
A journey through Alfa Romeo history that rediscovers a forgotten chapter and a car that never existed… until today.
At the end of the 1930s, an ambitious project was born: a three-litre V12 engine, developed with the collaboration of Ferdinand Porsche and Gioacchino Colombo, intended for a new generation of racing cars. This engine, mounted on a modified chassis of the 8C 2900 and combined with a light alloy body inspired by the Alfetta, could have debuted at the Mille Miglia in 1941. But the war stopped everything.
The book tells the whole story: from the original development to today’s reconstruction of an unpublished, credible and fascinating prototype, thanks to a thorough historical and technical research.
The narrative is divided into two sections – history and restoration – also differentiated in the layout, thanks to a refined choice of papers of different grammage, tint and finish.
