It was on 24 June 1910 when Milan ‘officialised’ the birth of Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili or A.L.F.A. About 10 years later, that acronym was completed by the surname of Nicola Romeo, an able businessman of Neapolitan origin, who had meanwhile taken over the reins of the company. One hundred years separate us from that historic event, during which Alfa Romeo wrote a chapter of extraordinary importance in the technical and sporting history of the Italian car but, more in general, has left its indelible mark on the culture and evolution of trends in Italy. It is, therefore, a duty to celebrate an event of such significance with a work of absolute prestige. To commemorate the 100 years of a marque that has become synonymous with legend many names have been brought together: names of important journalists of the sector and not only in that area; others have personally lived the Alfa Romeo experience.
