The Motogiro adventure ended half a century ago and it is really unique that this race only needed five editions, held from 1953 to 1957, to enter the Olympus of the great road competitions.

Through the testimonies of the protagonists, the documents of the time and the largely unpublished photographs, the volume retraces the salient phases and the backstories of this competition that was, from all points of view, an authentic ‘reckless challenge’. The voices of the protagonists help to shed light on controversial facts, comparing often conflicting theses, while the final part contains all the rankings, stage by stage, class by class, of the five editions played, in addition to the floor plans of the routes of the individual stages and the high-metric profiles of the various races.
