Balestra Nino

Nino Balestra, jeweler by profession, but also historian, collector, former uphill and track driver and for twelve years around the European tracks with a historic F1, was one of the founders of ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) and the second president in 1966 of the Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca. Former director of the magazine La Manovella, author of books and essays – recently of a much appreciated novel, obviously vintage – he is one of the founders of the “Bonfanti-Vimar” Automobile Museum of which he was president until 2014. He is currently curator of the “Giannino Marzotto” Gallery of Motorism, Mobility and Ingenuity Veneto and president of the Cisitalia International Club. Recently he was awarded the San Bassiano prize, which the city of Bassano del Grappa awards every year to one of its illustrious citizens.
