Born out of a challenge that a constructor of agricultural machinery – Ferruccio Lamborghini – issued to Enzo Ferrari and his GT cars, Lamborghini proved from the very outset to be more than mere the settling of a dispute between exuberant industrialists.
Not just because the marque has always built everything on its cars in house, without resorting (as many elite manufacturers do) to third party engines for example, but also because it has consistently shown a talent for engineering and stylistic innovation. This was apparent almost immediately with the extraordinary Miura and continues to astonish us to this day.
