Product description
A book in tribute to the Great Exhibition of the Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 81 cars on display.
Since the dawn of the automobile, the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been the most admired and respected race in the world. Now a century old, the Sarthe event celebrated its centenary with the style it deserved. The highlight of these celebrations was the Grand Exhibition of the Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which brought together in its museum nearly all the cars that have won at Le Mans.
This breathtaking spectacle, combined with its immense historical value, featured 81 cars, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley, Matra, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Toyota, and, of course, Ferrari. This book is a tribute to this exhibition, to this century of motor racing, to its successes, achievements, and records.
Eighty-one cars are highlighted with, as a common thread, the history of the exhibition, its organization, its logistics and its culmination in the parades.
