Product description
This book lists the main French (and some other European) races, collecting the most important information and results, where the small BMW 700 and Renault Dauphine competed alongside Alfa Romeos and Ferrari GTs. First, the 1962 and 1963 seasons are examined in detail.
After the tragic interruption caused by the Second World War, motorsport, like many other activities, gradually resumed its course. Road rallies, featuring cars used daily, or almost daily, experienced considerable growth, allowing a large number of amateur drivers to pursue their passion, while manufacturers and equipment suppliers saw rallies as an excellent platform to showcase their products. Road traffic was still light, and the spirit was one of freedom and daring. It was the era of great road adventures, commonly known as the “golden age of rallying.”
