The book retraces the story of the ‘P-Wagen’, a genial revolutionary project of the Thirties signed by Ferdinand Porsche on the behalf of Auto Union. These cars were destined to compete with the Mercedes-Benz and the Alfa Romeos in the Grand-Prix races of those days. After many achievements, the four rings-mark disappeared, overwhelmed by the war to revive under the name of Audi in the Sixties. Audi restored a specimen of this glorious monocoque, a sort of forerunner to the Formula One modern cars.
