Product description
Catalogue of the first major exhibition dedicated to the Italian car manufacturer. The history and career of Enzo Ferrari, and the brand’s legendary models are presented through numerous previously unpublished photographs and archive images. In 1987, the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art organized an exhibition in tribute to one of the greatest designers of the 20th century, Enzo Ferrari. Nearly fifty iconic car models were brought together at the Domaine du Montcel in Jouy-en-Josas, in a spectacular setting designed by Andrée Putman.
The exhibition was conceived as the story of a legend, that of a unique car manufacturer that revolutionized the world of racing and design. Through previously unpublished photographs, archival documents, and numerous personal testimonies, this book retraces the history of this extraordinary exhibition and revisits the key moments that forged the Ferrari legend.
